fuuuuuck. sorry guys. my screen isnt inputting touch screen stuff after sunset. will make a post in tech asking why, because it is annoying as shit how it wont type when the screen is cold.
Second excuse: that was the last night of cny drinking, so things were not edited up to my normal sub par standards of giving a shit about typos
Bump. Red envelope question: anyone had a baby born in the family lately? What’s the going red envelope / hongbao rate for when a sibling has a baby? For that matter, who do we give it to? Nominally the baby, or the mother, or the father? Or this being Taiwan, maybe the father’s father?
One of like five born in the country this year, as best I can figure. Financial and military health of the nation is on your shoulders, kid!
Give it to the mother. Give the father ethanol. Or nothing. A nice hand shake with opposing hand on top, smiles and loves and a “you are so good” type sentence while looking into her eyes. Maybe a hug if they are open to that
siblings are higher than friends, sure. But make it related to your income level, which the family presumably has an idea about . Whatever the number, make sure it’s the lucky numbers not the nono numbers.
For me, I’m giving $4,444 to my brother when he finally has a kiddo. 4x 1000, 4x 100, shiny coins, 4x 10s and 4x 1s. Dont do that if they dknt have a sense of humor.
Even if they have a sense of humor I wouldn’t recommend that, as some unknown relative will take offense on their behalf and cuss loud Way too many people who loves to have a heated opinion here….
He’s talking family. With family, deep conversations are more than welcomed because we will always stay together thus we have the dedication of time to discuss things thoroughly. Hence, #4,444 lol
I also don’t recommend it for non family, to be clear
