Is there any hope of redemption of threads that were moved to the Temporary Forum if something edyfying or worthwhile emerges in the thread? I have often wondered if I shouldn’t just post directly into the Temporary Forum and leave it up to the moderators to move it to one of the permanent fora if it should be found of use to the other members. Only 80% of posts ,IMEHO, end up being useful.

What came out of it?
Pirates are better.
What came out of it?
Ninjas are better, obviously.
Even stevens picts and vikings. The sensible among us realized early on that pirates are limp-wristed flouncing pansy boys while ninjas … well, I mean to say, black pyjamas? COME ON people, this is the real world, not the Playboy mansion.![]()

If there’s anything in particular you think should be moved to a permanent forum then let me know (pm me with a link). I don’t relish the thought of fine editing and chopping-up of threads, as I’m pretty busy at the moment, but if there’s something decent that’s not too tricky to move back then I’ll certainly consider it.

I’ve realised, though, that it would take too much time for moderators to keep an eye on everything and make judgement calls about moving threads or bits of threads all the time. So it helps the moderators tremendously if posters make the judgement about which section to post in. Don’t worry about it too much but if there’s something of temporary interest then post it in the temp forum and if it’s potentially of longer-term interest then post it in the relevant “permanent” forum.
