I inquired with an airbnb host in Taipei a month ago whether the place is suitable for quarantine (had open access to deliveries, etc), they said yes, quarantine friendly, even accommodated 4 quarantine guests already. A few days before I’m scheduled to leave to Taiwan, the host says I have to pay 50% extra to account for “fines” that the city will levy. I said I’d think about it. Later on the host says they have to cancel, because someone from the city told them they can’t accommodate quarantine guests anymore. So in general, I would be careful of airbnb hosts since they may cancel on you when you arrive in Taiwan
I ended up staying in a hotel in Banqiao, it was around 200 USD a night, kind of expensive but at least I got good sleep and didn’t have to worry about ordering food myself.
