Rhyme question

I need some help, quickly! “Standard American English”… with evidence…

Which of these words rhyme?

doll/roll/hall

Thanks in advance.

doll and hall

Yes.

Proof that ya just can’t learn English pronunciation as easy as all that.

I never would have guessed those two, they don’t rhyme where I come from! Thanks for the quick feedback.

If you come from New York, they sound exactly the same.

I agree: doll and hall.

“roll” has a long o.

Where I come from (NZ) doll rhymes with roll, and hall rhymes with ball.

What exactly is “Standard American English”?
In the Bronx, girl and bird are pronounced like coin and foil, aren’t they?

Every English question requires one Canadian to confirm the answer.

Doll and hall rhyme.

Well, my Californian ears say there’s a slight difference in the vowel, but you could probably say “doll” and “hall” rhyme without anybody correcting you. Except a hair-splitting pedant like me.

not downstate they don’t  doll rhymes with the first syllable of follow.

These three words have different vowel sounds. As nobody has given any evidence for the American pronunciation, I present, from dictionary.com from the American Heritage Dictionary:

doll: (dol) with a short o, as in pot.
hall: (h

In my dialect, however, whatever it is at this moment, I don’t distinguish between the o in cot and the ) in caught therefore doll and ball rhyme to me. Cha bu duo in any case.
