Green and Blue aren’t the same, at least Green tried to improve work conditioms and raised minimum wage significantly.
To be honest Taiwan isn’t doing too badly compared to many places out there.
Agreed some costs have gone up but nothing like overseas. In my home country they raise ticket prices almost every year . Rents have doubled in eight years.
In many countries cost of living increases are nuts. Meanwhile Taichung has free public transport.and Taipei barely raised it’s ticket prices in 20 years ! Taxes have even gone down not up !
I noticed Taiwan is even cheaper for some stuff than developing countries such as the Philippines or Indonesia, most significantly for healthcare but also electricity.
