well, it isn’t really nice but rodeo’s seems to be the best taoyuan has to offer. run by an ex-pat and staffed by young women it has live bands and western food. sports can be seen-sometimes.
failing that, taimall has the cultural touchstone that is dave and buster’s. blech.
how do you get to Rodeos anyways?
anything new on the bar front, especially in terms of watching world cup of hockey games (or any hockey, whenever it returns?
i mentioned a mongolian hot pot place on San min road, just up from chung shan road, that people should try when the weather turns a little colder - great food.
and a small pasta place on da yo road that does pretty good food, with the cheapest being $180 for a large plate - have yet to leave hungry. two blocks from the holiday hotel in the direction of mitsukoshi department store (shin gong san yueh).
