One of the most influential voices in Hong Kong’s underground music scene, David Boring, arrives in Taiwan this July!
Formed in 2013, David Boring is a Hong Kong‑based post‑punk / no wave band, known for their provocative, restless sound and high‑tension live performances. Their debut album Unnatural Objects and Their Humans (2017) confronted alienation and survival in contemporary society, building a unique sonic aesthetic through raw guitar walls and tightly wound song structures.
After seven years, David Boring finally returns with their new album LIMINAL BEINGS AND THEIR ECHOES. With sharp industrial and EBM elements, the band’s signature abrasive sound gains a new layer of detachment. Beneath the seemingly oppressive surface lies a carefully orchestrated “controlled chaos”: David Boring invites listeners to wander through liminal states, experiencing immense emotional tension, and ultimately completing a journey of trauma → survival → healing.
Following the release of LIMINAL BEINGS AND THEIR ECHOES, David Boring embarks on their Asia tour, with shows in Taipei and Taichung this July. Step into the venue and feel the machine strike the flesh, oscillating between brutality and tenderness, darkness and hope.
