Horrible one today!
I got stuck to the point I had to chat and do an Google search for candidate words. Even then, I couldn’t find anything suitable in my first results.

You got it in four! That’s cool!
As soon as I’d got a decent number of green squares, I just kept plugging letters in (I’m not recommending that method; a person could lose that way, or at least waste a lot of time).
When I got a combination that the puzzle accepted, I looked at the resulting word, and I may have laughed out loud, but at any rate, I was quite surprised. I don’t recall ever seeing or hearing that word before. I had to look it up.
I put the “40,000 Headmen” song on in an attempt to match the weirdness of this particular puzzle episode.
Here’s the Blood, Sweat & Tears version:
Wtf???
Never heard of it. I also had to resort to internet with 5/6 letters.

You also got it in four, like @RickRoll! No way could I have done that. After I lucked into a certain number of green squares, I just kept plugging in letters that formed nonsense words, till I came to this–to me–hilarious-looking word, which the puzzle software accepted.
And I looked it up, and it is science-related.
Yet you got it in four.
What I had for breakfast this morning!
I don’t know what this is
@Scholardle 205 6/6
Cause nothing else would fit there.
And I don’t see how that is a Scholardle word.

Maybe they’re running out of Scholardle words.
What was it again? I googled it but didn’t find anything. Maybe I didn’t remember it properly.
Kytoon. A tethered ballon with some lift from small wings and some lift from lighter than air stuff. For meteorological work.
I guess it’s a portmanteau of kite and balloon.
Anyways, moving right along…
