I’m looking to buy a scooter, mainly to go sightseeing and hiking around the Greater Taipei area. As in I will probably just drive it from my parking space in New Taipei to a given hiking trail, hike the trial, then drive immediately back a couple times a week during the weekdays. I was thinking of getting the 全新迪爵 because it seems like a good starter scooter and also seems to be pretty reasonably priced. Any better options or will this be good enough?

A while ago I was thinking of getting an MMBCU 曼巴, but it is significantly more expensive. Driving an underpowered Wemo (49cc?) into some mountains a couple days ago and things going better than expected made me think that a standard 125cc should be more than enough.

Well, what’s your budget? I think that’s the main thing to start narrowing things down. Are you comfortable buying second hand or do you want new? Personally I have a MMBCU, it’s a great scooter but it may be unnecessary for your needs. Are you particularly tall or short, that can limit your choices as well.

Second hand is fine. Ideally gas or diesel. USB port for charging would be nice.
