Scrolling function has issues (Scroll Jank) - was fixed, happening again?

This is nearly making the entire place unreadable even more so than the cringe from the ‘quality’ of posts. I’m trying to read the “Wack” thread and can’t scroll more than three posts without it leaping back to the post that I initially read when scrolled into the thread.

Yep. Same here. Very annoying.

Dumping Discourse should be considered.

lol, i just got janked on the jank thread

it’s long scrolls that get me

Seems no one in Discourse is paying attention to it.
Maybe because the topic is in “Feature” instead of “Bug”?

The jank today is the jankiest jank I’ve ever been janked. It’s frikkin jank-diculous!!!
:rage:

bunch of jankers

Jankers and jank-offs…

So the solution is to ban advertising. :joy:

Still happening here. The “Earthquake” thread was really tough to get through with 100+ additional posts to go through.

Windows 10 - Edge browser

Janking janks are still janking jankingly!
:runaway:

Shouldn’t that fix have solved it?

Yep, still janky to the max… :pensive:

I know I seem to be the only person with my particular problem, where clicking a thread takes me to the bottom of the page instead of where I left off on my last visit, but I’ll share anyways: getting so annoyed by this that I’m adding a bookmarklet to my Favorites toolbar to jump to the “Your Last Visit” spot:

javascript:var element = document.querySelectorAll(’.topic-post-visited-message’)[0]; element.scrollIntoView();

Why don’t they just dump this crap software?

I’ve been having this problem for a while, and it does not matter what computer/phone/browser I use, so the issue is the software…

In exchange for what?

Fora maybe.

Can you post a link? I googled a little bit but didn’t see anything.

This list of popular forum sofware on Wikipedia doesn’t list it either. If this is something new, we could certainly look at it

It’s a platform that uses XenForo for the forum software.
