I just moved here in January from Shanghai and I would like to send my students from last semester a gift. I think the most ideal thing would be something edible. Is there some kind of non-perishable snack that is a “Taiwanese famous food” that will make it through customs? I had more than 700 students last semester, hence the need to find another job

I highly suggest you buy for them some Taiwanese Pineapple cake… People from PRC China love it… and it comes in a range of prices, from the
expensive Keelung type , to the less expensive Taichiung and Hualian types…
