Setting Google Translate voice recognition to default to traditional Chinese instead of simplified?

Can we set Google Translate voice recognition to default to traditional Chinese instead of simplified? It defaulting to simplified Chinese is very annoying as well as making me go through additional steps when using this material in work.

It’s strange, I can use my keyboard’s voice input on other Google apps, like Docs, and it will produce traditional characters. Yet, apparently, Google Translate will only accept voice input through that app’s voice recorder thing, which produces simplified characters as you stated.

Yes, I’m doing it to check my pronunciation accuracy and if satisfied I want to paste it into word or other places. I have to go through the additional step of translating it into traditional Chinese. It’s annoying.

It was “broken” in a recent update.

Haven’t heard if and when they’re going to fix it.

Not to mention Google failing to provide Cantonese (HK) translation as a part of their subservience to China.

Google is largely blocked in China though.
