I agree with what you say. But it is still the Akvavit I tell you.
Oh and lefsa and gjetost. The holy trinity. (forget the lutefisk)
Where did the Norwegians score? Of course I know we “scored” everywhere. I mean in the list.
Here you go X3M (damn you I’ve look everywhere to find a picture small enough to be an avatar and you found it)
The one, the only, the best:

hey, i recall that akvavit. isn’t that the norwegian one which apparently is shipped from norway down south and then back up again. i had that with reindeer stew made with gjetost once. yummy
from wiki:
Trivia: If you look through the back side of the bottle you can see the sailing info on the back of the label.
The only place I have found it in Taiwan is at Salt and Bread. If anyone knows somewhere else please let me know.

I did I did I tell you. :taz:
I’m going to just steal yours. It isn’t in the rules. (is it?) :p
Feel free to share - it is not mine to keep anyway. We should always share the good stuff. Right?
…and I have a bottle of Lysholmer Linie here.
I think I shall bring some Red Aalborg with me next time. The other scandinavians should rejoice, I think.
I think it’s the pickled herring - and perhaps the Tuborg. (And Gjetost/Myseost is an exotic delicacy in Denmark).
Some of the newer microbrews must have lifted spirits in DK recently as well. I recommend the ones from Svaneke Bryggeri, which you can get all over Denmark now.

Make me an honourary scandinavian if you should happen to bring back any brews from your next trip.

You know, the happiest, most easy-going guy I know in America was Danish, too. What’s the deal with you people? No one who pays that much in taxes should be happy. Don’t tell me it’s the diet of fish paste, lingenberries and salt, either. It’s gotta be the porn.
And for God’s sake, would someone sell this man some tent bits?
Bloody Vikings… can’t start an innocent thread about the quality of life in one of the Nordic lands, without the whole thing degenerating into a slavering diatribe about booze. You drunken sots, no wonder you’re so damn happy: yer half pissed most of the time, or thinking about the same. I won’t even mention the severe randiness factor with all you lot. One would think you would have gotten all that out of your collective systems, fury of the Norsemen, and all that.
Yet one can’t really complain about cultural residue involving sex, booze, and the Great Outdoors! :scooby:
yet & then ye throw the quality of life of life in the face of us mere colonials, and then taunt us with lusty tales of fine Nordic brew, the likes of which we’ll ne’er sup on in this frontier. :fatchance:
Shocking!
I’m honored to have inspired wonder in one of The Great Danes. - Again.
It will happen soon, now that the daze is getting longer… fire up that barb… & lets go try & find stimpy’s dog. - again.
Well, go on and have your phony masculine circle jerk, as is typical Forumosa fashion.
And y’all wonder why there aren’t more female posters on Forumosa.
(And yes, before you point it out - my last post about breasts was a satire upon you all, mocking the thread drift this thread and 90% of the other male-dominated threads in Forumosa have drifted into. Stop thinking with your dicks, boys).

Oh, dear. you’ve done caught us out. Obviously, the phenomenal weight of the responses to your inane attempt at satire is resting sharply on your bony shoulders. I suggest you grip on tightly to whatever faulty precipice of logic you think you have a hold of.
If you don’t like the thread, don’t read it. And certainly don’t post in it. Save the griping for pms to admin, or better yet, the feedback forum. And if you make no headway there, maybe someone like you could blaze a true, sensitive path (another forum?) for all the under-represented women, who are constantly beaten back whenever they try to express themselves on this forum.
As If.
And to bring it back on topic: How do the nordic countries pay for their expensive social welfare programs? Is small arms sales a new market, or an old standard?
