Shipping packages in Taiwan?

I was thinking i would send some simple things back to my family and friends while living in Taiwan, but i’m not sure how safe sending things is in Taiwan.

Micahel Turton (on his site) stated that sending things was risky and he always got packages pilfered while they were on their way to the U.S… but maybe thats just exxagerating.

So is it a safe thing to do?

I send packages (i.e., birthday presents, christmas presents) back to the US, so far without any problems. I actually just sent one yesterday. It usually takes between a week or a week and a half to reach my family. I think it should be okay as long as you are not sending a suitcase full of Taiwan dollars or something, haha.
