Is it advisable to bring my own computer from Canada to Taiwan when I move there?? Will the computer power source work for the type of plug-ins they have there?? Is it possible to just buy an adapter if this is the case??
it will work fine, Canada and Taiwan use the same powersupply and voltage. I brought my desktop from Canada to Taiwan, just wrap it in clothes when you put it in the suitcase so the parts don’t get damaged. When you setup your PC here, open the case and make sure the heatsink didn’t fall off the motherboard and nothing looks damaged inside. Maybe put some clothes inside the computer as well to keep the vibrations to a minimum.
I’d also suggest to remove your harddrive and pack it seperately or in hand carry.
Worst thing is to lose all your work.
