🛂 🇸🇬 Singapore | Visitors from Singapore can use e-Gate

Singaporean visitors can now take advantage of Taiwan’s e-Gate system for rapid immigration clearance. That’s after Singapore signed a reciprocal travel agreement with Taiwan in April.
Singapore added Taiwan to its own Automated Clearance Initiative in April.

Hope it works better for them than it does for me! Last time I left neither passport nor APRC were accepted by the machine without a clear reason, the grunting and pointing to the manual check desk from the ignorant c*&t “supervising” the e-Gates certainly didn’t help. I’ve found 40% of the time passport accepted and ARC not, 55% ARC accepted and passport not, the other 5% neither accepted with no clear reason. Go to the registration desk and apparently “everything is OK, try again” and then magically one of them will work.

I don’t even bother with egates in Taiwan. So many people waiting I just scoot up to a citizen counter which APRC holders can also use and you usually find no one or one person there. Much faster.
