Acer Smart Parking Column, 宏碁智慧停車柱

  • Saw these everywhere in Tainan and thought they were Tesla chargers and wondered why so many. So I pulled in and parked anyway.

  • Then realized it’s a Smart Parking Column.

  • A camera built in checks your license plate when you pull in and then when you leave it automatically calculates the fee and can use Easycard, Line app or maybe some other options. Or can go to a convenience store and pay within two or three weeks depending on the location.

They have these at a town I lived close to in UK. What a pain in the arse they where, terrible at reading number plate correctly going in and would’t let you out!!! as reading it correctly when leaving.
Was mad.

Hoping so, anything has to better than UK though.
