These days I seem to have realised that I scowl a lot. I have heard smiling is much healthier. Some people seem to have this wonderful smile on their faces a lot, is that due to Prozac, a just being happy smile , or smile training? I do not want to end up with a Joker smile, but smiling more would be nice. I have noticed that even faking a smile makes me in a better mood , but I often forget, sometimes I see pictures of myself and think darn I look so angry.
Any training tips ?
Do things that you want to do, rather than things which please others. Once you start making yourself happy, you’ll smile because you are happy. Otherwise it’s just a forced smile, which is another act of people pleasing.
I used to know someone who worked in telesales a few decades ago. His boss made all the workers have a mirror in front of them for when they called people. They were told to smile a lot, and it actually helped with sales.
Live in the now. You have people who want to take your picture. They must care for you, so be happy you them. I hate looking at my pre-therapy Taiwan family inna restaurant pics. I just looked like a shithead.
