I don’t actually remember what I wrote there. I was just pissed off at getting censored. It’s just stupid words on the stupid internet. I’ve really gotta learn to be less emotional about shit that means nothing. 
If we can identify a smurf, we’ll ask them to choose an account, and other appropriate action will be taken if necessary. As the rules say, “Each Forumosan is permitted one forum account.” Certainly we’re not protecting anyone about it. By the same token, unproven accusations that particular Forumosans, suspended or unsuspended, are smurfing will be removed.
If someone is breaking the site rules on trolling etc., that will also be dealt with, regardless of whether they’re a smurf or not. I think this is the real issue in the great majority of cases.
As always we welcome and appreciate reports about anyone you think is breaking the site rules, either by PM or through the report function.

Trolls are posters who intentionally try to be inflammatory; to cause shit. They have no other purpose on a discussion forum. They are gleefully sitting back in the safety of anonymity and purposefully causing a shitstorm.
Smurfs are posters with multiple accounts. They generally use their regular one for normal discussion, and the other to troll.

I give a fuck. Trolls post pseudo questions asking for advice, and others give of their time to supply it. Whilst all they are doing is baiting for a flame-war, and sitting back and giggling at the naive saps who actually took them at face value and made an effort. Fucking wankers.
Not to mention it fills up sites with useless shit. Real posts end up getting buried.
I haven’t been posting here long so I won’t attempt to get into it too much, but the only point I’ll try to make is that most of the posters here appear to be seasoned. Thus, most taking time to give replies should be experienced enough on this thread to judge whether it’s worth their time to give a response on a particular thread. I think even on obviously trolling original posts some are amused or otherwise compelled to entertain it with their own commentary. Even so, seasoned posters will either call out BS on their own, or their comments will still somehow contribute useful knowledge to unregistered viewers and regulars alike.
I do, the troll takes on a caricature of a real life person and revels in their misfortune. Exemplifies every negative aspect, then completely detached from any empathy for who that person is in real life, takes pleasure in encouraging others to attack the stereotype, in my opinion, a pitiful, loathsome individual.
Simply disliking the misusage of the “Smurf” word. Those great creatures are and remain Belgian inventios - thus should not be used to hide a bunch PF schrezophrenic flobbers here. Am I now considered a troll ?
