Why say sorry? They’s just a buch of animals right? You speak in a very light-hearted manner of people who have basically been exterminated. But, when it comes to European lives, it would be blasphemy to say the same.
You mean they’ve done a lot for themselves using the others.

I’m sorry you feel that way. I don’t look down on minor tribes as much as you think I do. But then again, I don’t allow a quaint tribe to occupy more space in my brain than it deserves. And honestly there are a few European tribes I could live without.
You mean they’ve done a lot for themselves using the others.

Uhm, they have actually excelled at what all tribes have been trying to do throughout history. The fact that you don’t personally like this is beside the point. As much as I admire the Iroquois in NY state, they didn’t do a goddamned thing for world history.
No, this has nothing to do with what I believe about suicide bombers. I’m saying if you substitute that word “they” with “I” its a really depressing thing and could lead to a depressing mess and has a number of times throughout history and shortened lives.
I don’t believe you actually believe what you typed about the extermination of tribes and were doing it in the name of getting posts like this.

Again MM, I dont know what you are talking about…
Many of these tribes died out, and were not exterminated. They had their chance. They blew it.
I don’t troll at all. I state my opinion. And my opinion is this, some tribes were better than others and survived. Some tribes were luckier than others, and survived. Some tribes added more to the world society than others, and excelled.
Some still do add and some still don’t. And to be quite honest, I won’t miss those that don’t where they’re gone. They have become a cliche on Discovery Channel.
I mean, honestly, what do I have to learn from the Brazilian cone dick people??
I meant “I didn’t do a thing for world history” would be a factor for negativity leading to personal suicide. (Nothing about tribes or maybe terrorism) I’m likely off-topic.
Percentage of the whole? You sure about that Bob? Can you document that?
Damage in what way? Got to break a few eggs to make an omlette.
I was speaking environmentally. Things are pretty clear in that regard. I recall seeing a program on Discovery Chanel some time ago about a tribe in South America that thinks of mainstream civilization as “children” who don’t repsect their “father” the earth and choose to remain isolated for that reason. I suspect we could learn a thing or two from them.

Bob, I apologise for setting you up…but anyway
What could we possibly as a culture or society learn from them?? These tribes usually stay in one place, use up all the surrounding animals/food and vegetation/food that is around…then leave. Can you say hunter gatherer? Due, we did that…50 thousand years ago!
OK…now please. Please tell me how that applies to the 280 million people living in America
No, not really. “I haven’t done anything for world history,” is a powerful motivator to suicide bombers.
I agree. I think the root cause for most terrorism acts is the desire for martyrdom. All the pronouns could be used in that sentence with the quotation marks by terrorists to support their cause.

Easy… Replace the carrot with a fishing lesson.

Maybe so,but “I” seems to be the most powerful motivator.
Not a many terorists shouts “Those Eskimos haven’t done squat for us!” as they set the charge.

Thanks bob…back to flounder with you…an analogy class awaits…
I was actually agreeing with you. Read the post title"Rabbits". The carrot is a metaphor for money which is what drives the world. The fishing lesson is a metaphor for need of better education. Easier said than done is what I meant.

They don’t “use up” anything and leave. They live in a village and farm a bit, hunt a bit, raise some pigs and chickens… and live with a lot less. Consequently they have more free time and do less damage to the environment. That’s what we (meaning the industrialized world) could learn from them - to establish wiser priorities.
