Socks for kid places: weird requirements?

Many kid places are obsessed with kids having socks or they’ll deny the kid from entering. Eg, in the summer if kiddo has sandals, hard no to enter these play places. Need socks.

With the drool, spittle, vomit, sneezing, hand rubbing spit and snot all over all play equipment with no mask requirements, how the living hell is socks the magical cure?

A kids foot is probably the cleanest body part of them all. Bare feet also lowers liability + increases child safety since they don’t slip easy on the ultra slippery play place mats.

The requirement may as well be “must wear a hat to enter” and it’d have an equal effect on preventing germ spread as socks.

This rule was probably made by the same folks that rinse their soapless hands for half second with water feeling a false sense of security that they sanitized their hands.

They usually sell socks with anti-slip bottoms. More money for them and safer for the kids.

They have rules because that’s the rule. Don’t try to argue with them or ask them the logic of rules.

Masks is a magic shield preventing you from getting sick.

Swim caps are mandatory at all pools, even if you have no hair.

Rules are rules, unless you are on the road.
