Reminds me of that time at the beach… two western female English teachers laying on their towels nearby, chatting. Talking about the types of western foreigners they see in Taiwan, how they behave, how they date, etc. At one point they ask the rhetorical question “why do those engineers act like they are better than us?”. I couldn’t help but reply “because we are”. It goes without saying that I didn’t get laid that day. Well, at least not with them. And yes, I do feel bad about this, but I couldn’t help it. Silly old me.
