Is something wrong with the site or is it just me?
Can’t open the site on Firefox and MS Edge.
Google Chrome works, but can’t upload images and icons don’t show correctly.

Images, including avatars, are not loading, or rather they are loading inconsistently.

Some avatars show up normally, but most don’t.

Does the site script apply a compression or down sampling algorithm to any image uploaded to the site so it doesn’t take up excess space? I think Facebook does this with videos uploaded to them.
Site not loading on my Desktop PC running Chrome, but works on my Android phone.

Look into it.
You don’t need print quality pics on the site, and an iphone or any modern smartphone can easily take 5-10 megabytes per picture. This might not seem like much but that could add up to terabytes given how much pics get posted on this site every hour. Down sampling/compression algorithm is necessary or else you’ll run out of storage even if you have 100TB of it.
It’s either buy more storage or delete old pics, or figure out how to start downsampling all of them. You can possibly recover several TB this way.

It feels like it’s getting worse. Earlier, the site didn’t load at all (just the blue dots blinking) - now even the Forumosa logo is missing.

Currently only working partially on Firefox on a laptop. Won’t even load on Microsoft Edge or Chrome. On my Android phone it won’t load on Opera, the Samsung browser, or Chrome, so it’s basically impossible to use. I could download a different browser, but for now I’d rather hope that won’t be necessary.

Wont load on a W11 laptop using Chrome. Will on a W10 using Firefox but cant see some images in an old thread. Thought this might have been houskeeping to save space but the W10 laptop is pretty knackered which is why I tried the GF’s shiny new one, which wouldnt load at all.
