Spiced Rum...can it be bought in Taipei?

Please advise where.

Thanks.

Good 'ole Captain Morgan? Drinks or last resport City Super. Last, last resort just buy some Meyers rum and spice it yourself. Not too hard.

what spices do I use. I’d be forever grateful if you told me.

word on the street is that Costco sells eggnog, so I needs me some spiced rum.

Hell, get some eggs and make it yourself.

Usually spiced rum will have things like:

  • Vanilla
  • Cinnamon
  • nutmeg
  • allspice
  • star anise
  • cloves
  • citrus something peel

Get some above (whole, not ground) and put in a cheese cloth and steep in the bottle. Stop when it gets strong enough.

Worse comes to worse, I suppose you might be able to ask any restaurant or bar if there’s any place you can buy it. I HAVE seen such rums at City Super! I also frequent night clubs and the Shi Da night market and see spiced rums quite a bit. Actually I went to a Jamaican restaurant on a whim with some friends and saw them advertising some good ol’ Southern Comfort.
