Sports Doctor

hi, my achilles is needing to see the doc . does anyone know of a decent doc for sports injuries and also the rehab work.
cheers

There is a physiotherapist clinic close to the south-west side of the Ren’ai/Xinsheng South Road junction. It might be in a lane behind the junction, i.e. across the road from the British Trade Office. If I pass there I will edit this post to give the exact address.

Chinese for physiotherapy is liliao 理療 or tiliao 體療 and rehabilitation is kangfu 康復 so a physiotherapy and rehabilitation clinic is liliao kangfu zhensuo 理療康復診所.

Talk to Dr. Mark. What he doesn’t know about feet isn’t worth knowing…

What exactly is your problem ?
I have a lot of experience,I had to give up competitive marathon running because of it.
So i have worked around it.
Not all doctors(in fact very few) can help.
NB.Do not consult a doctor unless he (or she) is an athlete. You will get a run around.,and a lot of frustration.
The best is to become knowledgeable about it and to try find the solution yourself(unless you have a complete rupture and need surgery)

All the more reason to contact Dr. Mark. He has extensive experience in the martial arts - in 1978 he was accepted as a personal disciple of Grandmaster Hung Yi-hsiang, one of Tawan’s leading martial artists, and has been practising the martial arts ever since.

His teacher was also an expert Chinese Doctor and bone setter. He used to spend a lot of time with him and assist as he set horribly broken, fractured, and twisted limbs. Besides being a board certified licensed US Doctor of Chiropractic, he is the only westerner to have a Chinese bone-setters license.

What sport do you do ??
MartialAtrs(farts)-= wake up what does he know about running/bodybuilding/rugby = diltch
So do not consult anyone(including MD"s) unless they participate in and
are very familiar with the sport-you will get a lot of @#$%shitters that profess to know the answer(s) but know nothing(except to get money) from unsusprecting suckers. You will be frustrated(and still injured) and poorer.
So WAKE UP.

That’s ridiculous advice. :loco: So when I want to treat a frisbee injury, I have to ask the doc if he plays frisbee? Gimme a break. :unamused:

Dont be rediculous.
Do you play sport ??Have you been injured seriously ?
Obviously not, otherwise you would not be making such stupid comments.
Most sports are specific, and require specific knowledge about it(duh)
Why not make you local councillor President ??
Do not comment unless you have been there.

I have “played sport”. I’ve also had sports injuries. I guess I’m qualified to comment…

i’ve hurt my ankle running and want to get it checked out… are there any sports medicine doctor’s/physiotherapists in taipei?

is this dr.Mark still alive and kicking as a doctor?

I might have Plantar Fasciitis, and would like to see a good doctor about it…
