Hi, my wife is getting her spouse ARC. does she need to stay in taiwan for 183days per year even if she will not be getting APRC anytime soon? or she can just renew it indefinitely and not stay for that long?
Unless things have changed since 2020, no, she can come and go. Mind you, she needs 183 days continious to be able to get the NHI Card.

Yes, I am Taiwanese. I have 身分證. We are not ready to stay in Taiwan for too long. maybe only around 3 months per year.
