Spying, espionage , tradecraft - China

I see more and more articles of military espionage locally here involving former military and also retired. Even at the higher officer levels.
And now this one in the US where they allow dual citizens to join the military in the enlisted ranks.
Haven’t seen much discussion on these stories so thought I’d try starting one.

“In a memo asking a judge to detain Zhao before trial, prosecutors detail Zhao’s ties to China and his communications in which he has “repeatedly” said he wants to move back to the country, telling one person he offered sensitive intelligence to, “Damn it” “I really want to go back to China.”

Given the abysmal cybersecurity I expect China is already into everything and if they ever want to invade they will simply turn all the systems off and waltz right in. :expressionless:

Yeah I imagine massive disruption can be caused with systems and maybe anything made with Chinese chips.
Not to mention having all their spies inserting thumb drives into computers to plant programs.
