There were ok moments in ENT… but it didn’t have much to say. It got good when it delve into the Vulcans in season 4. Also, best mirror universe episodes ever, out of any other series.
Back to Star Wars. If Episode 7 is going to be a continuation of the original story, I assume it’s going to be based on the Star Wars novel? In that case depends how far in the future they want to go, but most likely it will still be about Han, Leia and Luke. Though personally I wish they go a bit further, perhaps to the point where the 3 young Solos are young adults… because that’s when it gets interesting…

Well, to start with they’re going to focus on established characters and do solo films, no, not necessarily Han Solo films, but well, fuck it… The first Stand Alone film is going to center upon YODA. At this stage specifics are sparse, but Kathleen Kennedy is putting together a STAR WARS slate… I’m wildly curious for more details on the YODA film - would this be a young or old YODA tale?

I wonder what’s going to happen in this new trilogy. Will any major characters, like Chewbacca perhaps, get killed? Perhaps we’ll see Han and Leia’s kids and they’ll have names like Jacen, Jania and Anakin. I wonder if they’ll introduce any force resistant enemies?
I don’t think they can completely ignore it either. Whether they like it or not, the novels add about 20 or so years of story line after the events of movie six. I can’t see them completely ignoring the expanded universe content.
Somehow, teasing movies A WHOLE YEAR before their premiere should be forbidden by law.
It looks good, it really looks good… but so did Episode 1’s trailer (ouch!). Say what you want about ol’ Lucas, but he was a good marketer until no one believed him anymore (after selling us episode 1 and 2, we were not so eager about the third one).
However, these days I go by “keep calm and trust in the House of Mouse”. Disney did the right thing when they bought Pixar, and did the right thing when they bought Marvel. Let’s hope they’re doing the right thing with Lucasfilm too. Putting JJ on the helm was a smart move, in my opinion.

I agree with every sentence but that last one. Star Wars and Star Trek are inherently different beasts, and giving the reins of both to the same man worries me.
