Why did I think this was about the last few fires being in hospitals?
I’m guessing the Taiwan government Tourism department helped fund or sponsor

Not only there are national incentives ($$$) for filmmakers, but also each big city, like Taipei or Kaohsiung, has a generous bonus for creative assistance.
That said, I have been told quite a bit of Taiwanese consider hospitals haunted places, second only to funerary parlors in terms of must carry amulets to prevent spirits to follow.
