Has anyone heard anything about Fokuang University’s Chinese Language Instruction Center in Ilan City.

It’s a new private university which is on the government’s list of approved schools.
The academic year consists of two 16-week terms, 20 hours a week. Monday to Thursday students have one hour of one-to-one language instruction and three hours in a small class. On Fridays, there are lectures on Chinese culture and practical classes (calligraphy, tai chi, cooking etc.) The tuition for a term is US$4,000.
There is also an intensive summer program that lasts eight weeks (July and August) and costs US$2500

We have been studying Chinese at Foguan for 3 months and loving it! The lecturers are professional and friendly - we’ve never once felt that they were talking down to us. They are extremely patient and don’t mind repeating a lesson if you don’t fully understand it. (IOW : They also cater to dummies like us!) We highly recommend attending this university!
