Following our milestone in 2018—bringing the first-ever Powerviolence act to Taiwan and pioneering this niche subgenre in the local scene—eight years of dedication have finally culminated in a historic moment. Thanks to the relentless efforts of A-Pan, bassist of the legendary Taiwanese punk band Selfish Sucker, we are proud to announce Taiwan’s first-ever showcase dedicated to the most extreme form of punk: Powerviolence Taipei. Get ready to witness the raw energy and sheer destructive power that defines the spirit of Powerviolence.
The inaugural lineup features an ultra-violent double-headliner:
Mexico’s notorious Hong Kong Fuck You and American Death Metal legends Sadistic Intent. Joining the fray are the Japanese Powerviolence powerhouses Anal Skull Fuck and Ken Takakura, alongside Malaysia’s brutal Death Metal force Bunuhdiri. Together, they will lay the foundation for Taiwan’s Powerviolence scene.
