Any nightlife suggestions around Sun Moon Lake?
Pubs or clubs or hotel lounge or KTV (any kind) or even a Chinese restaurant that stays open late and people sit around singing karaoke and drinking Taiwan beer? 7-Eleven is a given.
Nice friendly fun simple local style place where all are welcome. Open at 3pm until you leave. Not much if any nightlife in the area on this side of the lake.

Is the Irish pub still around?
For those that enjoy the convenience store nightlife thing, Family Mart has a huge second floor with a balcony. And a good place to hang out when it’s wet. They’re basically no coffee shops in this Ita Thao area so in bad weather you got convenience stores or back at your hotel hostel lobby.
