Ode Of The Grave Vol.1 — Ripped To Shreds: Zombie Resurrection Taiwan Tour
Ripped To Shreds is the first old-school death metal band in the U.S. led by a Taiwanese-American musician. Founded by Andrew Lee in 2016 as a solo project, the band released its debut album 埋葬 (Burial) in 2018, gaining attention in the underground death metal scene. Their sound draws influence from legends like Entombed, Bolt Thrower, Funebrarum, and Horrendous, blending classic death metal with grindcore intensity.
Their album themes explore Taiwanese Taoist rituals, traditional burial customs, wartime history (like the Huayuankou flood), and martial arts folklore.
After releasing their second album 亂 (Chaos) via Singapore’s extreme label Pulverised Records, the band gained traction in the global extreme music community. In 2021, they signed with the iconic U.S. label Relapse Records, becoming one of the leading new-generation acts in old-school death metal.
Their third album 劇變 (Jubian) showcased Andrew Lee’s genius-level composition and intricate phrasing, unleashing the full evil of classic death metal.
Now, after their first Taiwan tour in 2019, they return for a two-day resurrection — performing tracks from their fourth full-length album 三屍 (Reek of the Grave), released last year via Relapse.
The zombie oil seeps from the rotting coffin — and the dead rise again.
