Formed in 2019, Runtuh (“Collapse”) embodies the bleakness of the pandemic era. Their albums Erosion of the Self and Ambiguous Man carved a reputation for depressive sludge/drone intensity. This year, they arrive with their newest work Holy Tumour — heavier, more aggressive, and devastatingly immersive.
Kultus (Indonesia)
Occult sludge doom since 2018. Their debut To You My Lord, Hell Awaits was released on Lawless Records (founded by Seringai’s Arian). Influenced by Dopethrone, Kylesa, Cough, and The Obsessed, Kultus delivers ritualistic heaviness steeped in doom tradition.
