Apparently Beijing asked president to be addressed as the leader of Taiwan instead of the president. I think he should have went with it and announced her as the supreme leader to mess with them,
so ontop of bullying taiwan internationally china is now telling taiwan what to do within actual taiwan? what nerve!!!
I hope they keep trying to in this event publicly so we can keep making them look like fools that have zero control over taiwan.

So what are the chances Ko made this up? We have no evidence apart from what he claims. He is also under fire recently from the green constituency. Seems convenient that such an ‘opportunity’ arises.
Could be, it’s the old politician tactic of telling different section of the electorate what they want to hear, in the hope people will remember what they liked about him when it is election time. Lai in Tainan has been doing a similar dance recently.
The last time I recall this happening is in the W years, when Hu was visiting.
