Hi Folks,
Our little dragon turned 1 month today and I’d like to go out more to some nice parks or trails. I find Taipei not very stroller friendly but I have been to some nice places.
Last week end we went near the Dahu station, there is a nice park (not the Dahu Park) when you follow the indications to the river trail. I would be very interested if someone could recommend something similar, accessible by MRT preferably.
Cheers
I do not have a baby but these are places I see lots of moms with strollers.
Xindian MRT. Cross road and you are on wide plaza area connected to excellent river paths. Can cross suspension bridge and walk on either side.
Taipei Zoo MRT. Same. Cross roads to big park and riverpath area.
Hongshulin MRT. Connects right to riverpaths and you can stroll to Danshui beside the mangroves.
Taipower MRT exit 4. Walk along Shida Rd a few blocks to Hakka Cultural Centre and then take lovely pedestrian bridge over to the riverparks.
The zoo is also a good place to walk with a baby in a stroller. You have a lot of options. You can take the gondola up and then get off at the zoo stop, walk up from the zoo entrance to the top of the zoo and down again, or walk around the lower areas. Go during the week. Now school’s back in, it should be nice and calm. They spray mist out along the path so you can stay nice and cool.
Are you looking to get a good walk in, or just enjoy being outdoors?
On a weekday. NOT on weekends or holidays.

DB,
Definitely, that’s why I said to go during the week and when school is back in.
Da-An Forest Park has lots of trails and an awesome playground for kids.
I find Da’an park dirty, I must say I have been only once and I didn’t really like. Full of people with their dogs.
Note also the place near the Yuanshan station, heading west. Very nice.
Just to reply to my post as some other parents may look for the same:
- The Hakka park near Taipower Building station and continuing on the river trail
- All the parks around Yuanshan Station as I posted earlier
- Some river side trails accessible from Chilian station (a bit of a walk before)
