Taishin Cathay World Credit Card worth the annual 20K fee?

Hi all,

I am considering the Taishin Cathay Pacific World credit card mainly for Asia Miles earning and redemptions, but the 20,000 NTD annual fee feels high.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone with real experience on:

  • How fast miles actually accumulate in daily spending

  • Redemption experience with Cathay or partner airlines

  • Whether the benefits justify the annual fee compared to other Taiwan travel cards

Any honest feedback would be very helpful. Thanks.

Basically it can be a good card if you spend 30,000nt on fares during your birthday month (you get rebated 50% up to 15,000ntd) and use the airport taxi feature.

Other than that… its not so great. Personally I prefer cashback cards. I consistently get around 3,000ntd a month in cashback.
