We have a law in our country where a parent can sue a child for support. However, it has to be proven that the parent also did his or her part in the upbringing. If not, no cash. But it is the law: you must help your parents if they feel like suing you. A variation of this is when younger siblings can sue older siblings for support if the parent is dead or unable, and it does not matter if the younger kid is same parents child or not married. Problem is the amounts requested are ridiculous and many people end up in jail because of this.
I read another article about that and all the numbers in that original article were off too and different from this article. Apparently it had the dentist making over 1 million USD a year in Taiwan which is BS. I think it was written by Yahoos Fake News bot.
