Realize it’s been asked before but most of the search results a little old, but question about swapping my US drivers license for a Taiwan license. My state has reciprocal rights, so no test required.
What’s a little unclear is the process for certifying/authenticating my US license. I can “authenticate” it (notarize that it’s real/authentic) at AIT in Neihu in person or I can obtain a “certified true copy” by mailing it to the AIT Kaohsiung office. Prefer going in person so I don’t put my DL in the mail. It’s not 100% clear to me that the first option (notarize/authenticate) is acceptable with the Taiwan DMV?
Anyone go this process recently?
