Probably if Taiwan is going to build another nuclear plant they should media blackout on it, and just do it secretly. Politics can mess anything up.

Fukushima is completely livable.
Pripyat is completely livable (in fact it is a nature preserve because humans are too scared to live there).

And actually they have many wild animals there and they seem to still be alive
There is a un backed study that the radiation actually has not not only badly affected the health of the animals they seem to be in great shape

As much as I truly despise the DPP, this is exactly why this election is going to be important As much as any election is here). If it goes to the Chinese KMT I worry how much effort will be out into self reliance on self defense. Itruly hope we get a president as level headed as Tsai next round. taiwan deserves a non crazy president for a little while longer (ahem* Ma, Chen, etc) to allow us to actually defend ourselves and not always completely enable the usual CCP standards put forth and somehow largely allowed to be acceptable internationally.

I get many ignore Chinas threats and claims. they are classic liars. but, given the risk of being wrong, why not prepare? if they already officially claimed to encircle taiwan (not likely, but obviously inthe works) then the world should already be clamoring to support Taiwan and stop this retarded game they are playing with “strategic ambiguity”. Just make a stance for freedom and human rights for fuck sakes. how long is this game going to go on before a real war happens and china actually has made enough progress?? earlier is better. Meanwhile, the world keepssending china, invests in them, allows the CCP into their governments, infrastructure and business, and still does not support simple things like human rights. even somewhere outside CCP jurisdiction like Taiwan.
