I’ve a friend back home who’s very much into hip hop an want to “treat” him with some new sounds.

The most famous one is MC Hot Dog, who often performs live with rocker Chang Chen-yueh. Then there’s Stanley Huang.
Taiwanese hiphop music is mostly a softer, poppier version of US hiphop, so you’re hardly likely to surprise a US hiphop fan with this stuff.
