I know that similar tools are already available, and I truly appreciate the dedication of those who created them. I developed an income tax calculator specifically designed for foreign nationals in Taiwan.
The standard deduction is generally more favorable for most taxpayers, so I’ve simplified the tool by removing itemized deductions. This makes it easier and more straightforward to use.

What about special deductions? Such as disabled dependents.
I would word the parents part differently, just because you have a parent over the age of 60, doesn’t mean you can list them as a dependent in all cases. Also, the specialized deduction for a child 6 or below is different to the specialized deduction for a child in university, so would be better to separate these two out. See image below:

A long time ago a few of us made a spreadsheet calculator, but I am not sure how accurate it still is. When I compared it with results from the government calculator, it was very slightly off. Here is the link:
