My son has german and taiwanese citizenship by birth. In order to keep his german citizenship, he’ll have to attend school for seven years in Germany.
I have german citizenship and would need to give it up in order to get taiwanese citizenship. Even if Taiwan would allow me to have dual citizenship.
If my wife wants to get german citizenship, she would have to give up her taiwanese citizenship.
I don’t think it’s just a problem with Taiwan, @Marco .
