Has anyone tried mail forwarding from within Taiwan to a PO Box? I’m about to stop my lease and won’t have a residential address in Taiwan anymore, but would like to have all mail sent to a PO Box in Taiwan. Do you know how much it costs and how reliable it is?
You can get a PO box but the post office told me they will not forward mail to a different country. I looked to see once if there are mail forwarding services in Taiwan like the USA has and was never able to find one.
Hmm what about forwarding Taiwan residential (non post office) to Taiwan PO Box? I’m not in Taiwan right now, I’ll ask next time I’m there.

Too bad it’s only for 2 months. I’d prefer it to apply for a year. I wonder if I can continuously apply for it.
Article 170
The validity period of the application for re-delivery or re-delivery to a new address is limited to six months from the date when the post office agrees to provide the service. If it is overdue, it will still be delivered to the address written on the cover of the mail.
For those who redelivery at the same address or repost to the same new address, the application is limited to one time.
OK seems different from what the English FAQ says:
“The mail forwarding service is limited to two months, after which mail will be delivered to old address. Please inform relatives and friends and change address registration as soon as possible.”
I confirmed with the post office
Regular mail forwarding is active for a year
Registered mail is active for half a year. But the post office worker wasn’t sure if forwarding to P.O. Box works for registered mail.
Also for safe measures one thing you can do is to leave a large envelope for the next person with instructions to forward mails for the first one or two months. It costs about 60NT for registered mail within Taiwan using large envelope, with about 20 A4 papers inside.
