The selection for the largest MRT development project in Taiwan, the New Taipei City Circular Line Shisizhang Station and Nanjichang MRT Development Project, has been announced.

Ceremony was held today with President Lai and head of MOTC Minister Chen to commemorate the 2 sides for the DanJiang （淡江大橋） bridge finally being connected. While the Bali LRT is being planned space will be reserved for it in the future. In the meantime the space will be used as a dedicated bus lane.
Opening ceremony will be May 9, 2026 and open for traffic on May 12, 2026.

Grand Construction announced that it has been selected as the best applicant for the “Kaohsiung Station Area 4, 5 and Commercial 4 Public Urban Renewal Project”. With an estimated investment of over NT$9.5 billion, it will build three buildings covering 29,000 square meters. Two of the buildings will be residential, office and commercial buildings with 22 to 26 floors above ground, and one will be a 31-story residential building. It is expected to be completed in 2034.

Last 50 posts in this thread have been mostly Kaohsiung. Why are they building so much there all of a sudden? 
I know that Taichung and other cities are also building a lot, but I recognize that for now, the place where I find the most information, both photographic and informative, on the Internet is mainly about Kaohsiung.
