Actually, they beat Australia for the gold. Finland was just the host.
This is amazing. I was told there’s no way you can be good at ice hockey if it doesn’t snow a ton where you grow up.
Maybe now we’ll have a good Winter Olympics ice hockey team.

Not that it is still not cool, but this was for Division 2, Group A (which is 3 levels from the top level, which the USA beat Canada for the Championship). As well, this division played in the Netherlands, not Finland.

They did beat Finland though, and Kazakhstan. Finland is a top tier country for men’s hockey, the Taiwan men wouldn’t beat Finland if they played 1000 games. I guess women’s hockey isn’t really a thing there.
