Taiwan squat pose for comfort

So many Taiwanese people, even old people, can like squat down in a position that can sit in for 15mins+, feet flat on the ground despite being in that pose.

… westerners don’t even have these ligaments or something hahah… How do they do it? Is there a scientific explanation as to why 'Murkans can’t do that pose so expertly and so comfortably?

Much more common in China, as are squat toilets…

Practice. It’s like sitting cross-legged or doing the splits.

Because they have chairs everywhere, including the toilet

I don’t know, because I can’t do it.

Maybe if my body is very flat, with no beer gut and with a BMI of less than 20, perhaps I can do it.

But unless I have support for my back, I can’t.

It is very beneficaial for health,as are up-down squats, with or without weights are great

Once in a previous workplace we had squat o’clock.
1980s exercise videos with big hair on the TV screens every day at 1pm. It lasted about a month, no one really joined in.

I squat pose at home random times daily. Feels so good and healthy.

For me, before sitting down to watch some TV, I’ll squat in middle of room while flipping channels until pick something.

A couple healthy stretching minutes of making something useful out of nothing.

I can do it but not for a prolonged period of time. I also don’t enjoy sitting on the little stools some restaurants have for long periods. Very uncomfortable.
