You can be from both, you know: Taiwan and the Asian continent.

I don’t understand what the problem is. Is Asia not the most populous continent?

True, but one should read the whole report first which mentions that:

That is incorrect , since India - 4 guys are also playing amongst other Asians including Thailand - 3 guys etc.
That would imply that either the reporter is incompetent or refering to the PRC.

Doesn’t imply anything about PRC. Lu IS an Asian. Asia IS the most populous continent.
There ARE a fair number of Asians in the men’s draw. Wimbledon lists a roster for both China and for Chinese Taipei.
My suspicion is that the reporter is simply incompetent. or lazy.

There aren’t any Indians or Thais in the men’s singles draw. At least as far as I can see.

I am getting old though.

The reporter may be a little lazy, but I wouldn’t hang him up by the testicles over it. It’s pretty clear what he means.

Your not getting old.

WOW!! It’s my BAD. :aiyo: :frowning:

Reading too much into things!!
Reporter spot on.
All Indians, Thais e.t.c. lost in qualifying. Had to do a full read of Wimbeldon site .

There are many Asians in the men’s doubles draw, but of course the assumption is always singles when people refer to the men’s draw.

He has drawn Roger Federer so he is fucked anyway.

Asians in the mens singles draw…

Rajeev Ram, Indian playing for USA.
Bjorn Phau, Indonesian father, playing for Germany.
Kevin Kim, Korean playing for USA.

Mr. Hill is correct. I didn’t think about changes of nationality.

Iceland happens to be one of the seismically most active areas in the world - anything can happen there.
In addition, it has in recent years also economically moved further towards North American bancrupcy capitalism (Question: “What’s the capital of Iceland?” Answer: “$2.41”)
