Get out my way! I’m appropriating this story to stroke my own ego.
I got my own stories about loss in California. When I visited three weeks ago I lost $160 in exchange for a decidedly average steak with fries. Bloody inflation is killing us!
If you are appropriating Hua Hsu’s award-winning book, that is more than “ego”—more like “ego maniac.”
