This is a problem with many restaurants.

For me, the thing that sets Taiwanese businesses apart from the rest of the world is that they don’t seem to want my money. Not sure if it is because I’m a foreigner, or they just really suck at customer service

They generally suck at customer service, and they think if they open shop some rich benefactor will just waltz in one day and drop loads of cash on products before one day buying the place. They apparently just have bigger fish to fry lol

Never rule out money laundering or tax fraud haha. or etc.
